Born into a military family, Jennifer Krauser was the younger of two siblings. Her older brother Jack was her inspiration and role model. Despite their fourteen year age difference, the two developed a close bond as brother and sister. When their parents died when she was ten, her brother took her under his wing and the two became nearly inseparable. Being a military man, Jack was a member of the US SOCOM Special Forces unit and as such, the two siblings traveled around the world constantly. Be that as it may, she learned a lot from him during that time to include hand-to-hand combat as well as fighting with blades.

Tragedy struck her life when Jack died in a training accident in 2002 leaving her the sole beneficiary to her brother’s and parents’ estates. Using the money they had left her, Jennifer enrolled in college at eighteen and began studying international politics.

In the later part of 2004, a mysterious letter reached her however, which would change her world forever – a letter sent by her deceased brother. In it he had apologized for his disappearance and explained why it was that he did what he did. He had found a way to cure his wounded arm that had been severely damaged on a mission in South America, and now he was working for a powerful man named Albert Wesker. He then begged her forgiveness and told her not to try and contact him as it was too dangerous given his current employment.

Immediately, Jennifer dropped out of school and began a search for her missing brother. While in Europe, she ended up finding Wesker. It was there that he informed her of her brother’s fate. He was dead – killed on a secret mission in Spain by a government agent named Leon S. Kennedy. Vowing revenge against Jack’s killer, Jennifer joined Wesker and his organization.

In 2007, giving her a new name and identity, Wesker installed her inside the White House as a Secret Service agent named Bryn Cole who was assigned to the security detail of Vice President Adam Benford. Her main objective was to become a spy within the White House – providing Wesker with information on the president and vice president’s movements and removing potential threats to his organization. Despite being successful at her job, Jennifer also had an ulterior motive for the assignment. It brought her closer to Leon S. Kennedy – the man who had killed her brother.

During the course of her first year, she integrated herself to Leon who had been working directly for the Vice President at the time, and the two became friends. When she had succeeded in earning his trust, she inquired about his battle with Jack Krauser in Spain. It was then that she was in for a shock. Leon had been full of genuine regret for killing her brother as the two had been former comrades during Jack’s military career. However, something else also seemed off about the details – Leon’s place of her brother’s death differed from where his body had been recovered. Digging deeper, she discovered that another individual was responsible for killing Jack, and that person’s name was Ada Wong – a traitor to her brother.

After Wesker’s death in 2009, Jennifer stayed on with the Secret Service to use the tools and contacts at her job to begin her hunt for the international spy. When her efforts were continually frustrated by bureaucracy, she resigned in 2013 and joined a secret organization that was in need of her specific talents. In exchange, they agreed to help her track down Ada Wong – and when she found her, Jennifer vowed to kill her – slowly.
